Chusquea ramosissima is called “the beetle's knife” by a Guaraní community. In this research, the use of this cane as a spike and a cutting element, as well as its relationship with certain beetles, is discussed. This relationship is the basis of a story that explains the origin of these species and other entities from the Guaraní point of view.
